Google Workspace resources
In this section you will find a tutorial on how to create a resource in Google Workspace and how to connect a Tapirx device to the calendar of this resource.
Create resource in Google Workspace
- Sign in to https://admin.google.com with your Super Admin account credentials.
- Go to the Admin console and click "Buildings and resources"
- In Resource management click "Open"
- Add building
- Add resource
Now you need a user who will grant access to the Tapirx device. This can be the Super Admin or a delegated user.

Create delegated user
- Go to Admin console and click "Users"
- Add new user (typically tapirx_owner@yourcompany.com)
Share resource calendar with delegated user
- Go to http://calendar.google.com/
- In the left-hand panel find "Other calendars" and click "+"
- Select "Browse resources"
- Choose the calendar you want to display on the Tapirx device
- It will appear under "My calendars"
- Click on selected resource calendar
- Click "Share with specific people"
- Set permissions for the delegated user
Allow access to Tapirx device in our client portal
Important: If you are using a delegated user please allow access in another browser or incognito window so the Google Workspace accounts do not collide.
Log in to client admin
- Log in to the user area with your Client admin credentials here
- Click on "Client admin" link in menu
- Select "Allow access to calendars"
- Click Allow Access
- Sign in with Google Workspace credentials
- Confirm access for Tapirx
Assign Google Workspace resource email to Tapirx resource
You will need a Google Workspace resource email. You can find this in Google Workspace: Admin Console -> Buildings and resources -> Resource management -> click on resource. Copy "Resource email" from the left-hand panel.
- In Tapirx client admin click on "Resources"
- Choose resource
- Click on "Menu"
- Click on "Connect to calendar"
- Insert Google Workspace / Google Calendar resource email
Assign device to resource
- Click on "Client admin" link in menu
- Click on "Device list"
- Select Menu -> Settings -> Resource
